High Adventure
Our Progressive High Adventure Program
Troop 571, the Iron Scouts, believes in instilling a strong sense of outdoor adventure in its scouts. The program includes a series of events that grow in challenge and opportunity as the scout gains experience. Starting with Tenderfoot Trail and Alpine Adventure and then leading up to the National BSA High Adventure bases of Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier Canoe Base, and Sea Base Sailing Center. Almost every year we send a crew to one of the three major high adventure bases.
We are most proud of our annual Iron Scouts event that provides a day long challenge and adventure and is our signature event. Make sure to read about that below.
